Fun things to do now that you’re totally high.
“Is marijuana addictive?
“Yes, in the sense that most of the really pleasant things in life are worth endlessly repeating.”
-Richard Neville-
The American 420 scene is going mainstream.
Finally.
For anyone still wondering, 420 is the code for smoking marijuana.
Why 420?
The story goes … back in the 70’s, a group of California high school students would smoke pot every day at 4:20 in the afternoon. As their ritual spread, 420 became code for smoking weed. It’s even blossomed into a yearly “Weed Day” on 4/20 when the pot community does pot-ish things every 20th of April.
This blog is called It’s 421, Now What?
Why 421?
That’s the minute after you’ve just ingested weed, so at that point you’re totally high.
So now what? What’s next?
What does one do after one smokes Mary Jane, ganga, grass, hippie lettuce, the good, the sticky icky, the green, the chronic?
What do you do after you get baked, buzzed, zonked, looped, potted, hopped-up, spaced-out, half-seas-over, ripped out, lit, pickled, aka totally high?
Do you play video games? Watch cartoons? Giggle at the wall? Wax poetic? Get creative?
Down an extra-large sausage pizza and a few pints of Haagen-Dazs?
Hop on your motorcycle and split lanes on the California highways?
“You mean, all at once, Mike?”
Hell yeah, I’ve done that.
The big question is, why does being high make all those fun things even better?
Why does being high enhance certain experiences?
And cause other moments to SUCK.
What’s fun to do after you smoke weed and what’s an absolute drag?
I’m starting this blog to explore the answers to those questions and more.
And to debunk the myth that smoking pot is for losers going nowhere.
In fact, I’m hoping to prove the opposite, that plenty of successful and productive community leaders and celebrities love their weed, too, because it’s made their lives better.
Why me?
Rolling Baked is in my wheelhouse
As a marijuana smoker since 1983, I have spent many an hour being high. After almost four decades of inhaling, I have done just about every activity you can think of under the influence of marijuana.
Including piloting a dog sled in Alaska and doing standup comedy on national TV.
My goal here will be to give inexperienced weed smokers a better idea of what it’s like to be high doing certain activities. That way you can make a more intelligent choice about whether that’s something you want to spend your high moments on.
Think of this as a sort of twisted, humorous travel blog for new stoners.
Hopefully, this blog will turn you onto some of the fun high journeys and help you avoid the total bummers.
With sixteen states plus Washington, D.C. now having legalized recreational and medical marijuana, there are a growing number of new marijuana users emerging into our culture.
Welcome, by the way.
I’m here to help save you time and weed money by giving you some experienced takes on which activities are best whilst riding out your high.
And for you mini Snoop Dogs out there who need zero guidance in this way, I’m hoping you’ll burn one and get a kick out of the ride, and maybe chime in with some comments down below to help these precious weed newbies find their merry way.
The first activity I will rate for stoner entertainment quality is:
Being in Public High
Does pot make being amongst strangers better or worse?
I’ll go into how being stoned affects your ability to enjoy others.
And how for some being high makes socializing a living hell.
Plus, I’ll go over some tips to tone down the physical evidence of your pot participation.
Until then,
Cough, cough, mmm,
Mike
